The future of the cooperative industry shone brightly as the second class of the Agribusiness Leadership Academy (ALA) met in Enid on Thursday, September 19 to present their final projects to OACC staff, supporting cooperative managers and Triangle Cooperative Service Company (TCSC) leadership. ALA Class II Graduates Quatie Jorgensen - CoMark Equity Alliance, Enid Brent Thornton - Equity Exchange, Perryton Dustyn Hoffman - Equity Exchange, Weatherford Kevin Pingelton - Farmers Cooperative Association, Alva Daniel Koelsch - Farmers Cooperative Association, Tonkawa Dakota Martin - Farmers Grain Company, Pond Creek Chris Stauffer - Farmers Grain Company, Pond Creek Cody Ott - Triangle Insurance Company Class II's Capstone projects incorporated components from each session of the Academy: leadership, finance and accounting, advocacy and business management. Each member of the class excelled during their presentations and exemplified the values of the Academy. Following their presentations, the class attended a graduation banquet where they were presented with a commemorative trophy to highlight their experiences during ALA. Quatie Jorgensen of CoMark Equity Alliance was named Class Spokesman by her peers and gave remarks on behalf of Class II during the ceremony. Sarah Baca, Director of Education and Recruitment for OACC, is proud of the accomplishments of this graduating class. “Over the year-long Academy, Class II embodied the values of leadership and business management learned throughout their time in ALA,” remarked Baca. “We are confident in each graduate’s ability to dynamically lead within their current and future rolls in the agricultural cooperative industry. On behalf of TCSC and OACC, congratulations to each member of Class II of the Academy and a huge thank you to all sponsoring cooperatives for their support of the program.” OACC is currently accepting applications for Class III of the Agribusiness Leadership Academy.
